Kia ora Parents and Whānau,
We are pleased to inform you that our school’s swimming programme will commence in Term 2 providing an excellent opportunity for students to develop essential water safety skills and build their confidence in the water.
The lessons will take place at Dean Greenwood Swimming Pools, 274 Don Buck Road, Massey beginning on the first day of school, Term 2 – 20th April, and continuing until Thursday, 30th April. Swimming sessions will be held every day for 2 weeks.
Please ensure your child comes prepared with the following items:
Students are to wear their sports uniform on swimming days. The school will provide transport to and from Dean Greenwood Swimming Pools. The bus will leave school at 9:30am to start swimming session at 10am – 11:30am. Please ensure your child/ren are at school at 9:00am.
As swimming is a key part of our curriculum, all students are expected to participate. If your child is unable to attend for any reason, please inform their classroom teacher in advance.
We look forward to seeing our students grow in confidence and skill throughout this programme.
Parent Help Needed
We’d love some parent support with supervision for this event! If you’re available to help out, please get in touch with Cindy or Lina as soon as you can so we can include you in our plans.
Please be advised about an upcoming school athletics event that your child will be participating in. School Athletics will take place at Lovelock Track, War Memorial Park, Sandringham on Monday, 9th March 2026.
Our sister school, Balmoral SDA School have invited our school to join their school athletics which we are excited to provide students an opportunity to engage in athletics and to bring students, parents and the community together building a supportive and unified school environment.
